Overview
Undisciplined is an open invitation to reimagine how cultural perspectives and local knowledge systems can reshape the way we collect, process, and interpret data. By weaving these rich, lived experiences into algorithms and statistical models, we unlock new ways of recognizing patterns and drawing insights.
Phase 1 - Choosing the direction
To select a creative direction for Undisciplined, we explored multiple design concepts to see which aligned best with the project's vision. Each concept was crafted to reflect the core idea of integrating African cultural perspectives into machine learning algorithms. The goal was to create a visual identity that not only resonated with the client but also embodied the essence of innovation and tradition.

A Symbol of Connection
The final logo is a striking representation of Undisciplined’s vision. It features a series of interconnected ‘U’ shapes, forming the outline of a hand—a powerful symbol of unity, collaboration, and human touch. This design embodies the convergence of technology and African culture, illustrating how traditional knowledge systems can shape the future of machine learning.
The logo serves as a visual anchor for the project, reinforcing its mission to bridge the gap between cultural heritage and innovation.
An Immersive Digital Experience
The website was designed to be more than just a platform—it needed to be an engaging experience that immersed visitors in the client’s vision of bridging African culture with modern technology. To achieve this, we relied heavily on micro-interactions and dynamic animations, ensuring that every moment of user engagement felt intentional and immersive. These subtle yet powerful design elements guided users through the digital space, reinforcing the narrative and drawing them deeper into the world the client sought to build. The result was an interactive, visually compelling experience that not only informed but also captivated.
